Ivan was originally from Adelaide and has always been fascinated by different cultures and their healing arts. Teaching a martial art and studying how to help with injuries, led him to study modalities in naturopathy and Remedial Therapies in 1990.
In 1991 he earned a Diploma in Sports and Professional Massage from the South Australian Health and Education Centre (SAHEC, now the Endeavour College, Adelaide campus). He went on to get a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicinal Theory and Jin Shin Do acupressure from the Academy of Oriental Therapies in Adelaide in 1993. He then travelled to China and studied Tui Na at the Guang An Men Hospital in Beijing. Ivan also travelled to study acupuncture at the Open International University with Anton Jayasuriya in Sri Lanka. He now has Diplomas in Tui Na, Acupressure, TCM theory and philosophy, Remedial Therapy. Ivan has also successfully obtained a Masters of Health Sciences in Acupuncture from Western Sydney University.
Ivan has a private practice in both Adelaide and the Sunshine where he treats a range of conditions. He has been in practice using Tui Na (Traditional Chinese Therapeutic Massage) exclusively since 1993 and after further study he added acupuncture to his clinical practice in 1997.
He has taught Sports massage at the SAHEC (now Endeavour College, Adelaide campus) as part of the Remedial Massage Diploma from 1996. In 2000 he wrote and taught the Diploma of Tui Na course for SAHEC in Adelaide for 7 years, training students in Chinese Medicine philosophy and Tui Na. In June and July of 2010, he was employed by Endeavour College in Brisbane to contribute to their lecturers in Tui Na from Certificate 4 level to Diploma level. Ivan was with Endeavour for 6 years teaching Tui Na and running student clinics.
Ivan has a passion for healing and enjoys working with clients and teaching others in their journey of learning Tui Na.
